About

Glenn Llopis

The authority leaders confide in.

He sees what others miss

To the leaders who work with him, Glenn is a kind of corporate psychologist, not by training but by instinct, who understands people as deeply as he understands business. He sees what others miss: not just an organization’s culture, politics, and unwritten ways of working, but the human currents running beneath them. The quiet power struggles. The words left unsaid. The fear that keeps good people from doing what they know is right.

More than that, he sees the person. He notices the exhaustion behind the confidence, the doubt behind the title, and the quiet longing to lead with integrity in a system that rarely makes it easy. Leaders open up to Glenn because, often for the first time, they feel genuinely understood, and safe enough to face what they’ve been avoiding.

He’s also the kind of leader other leaders lean on. What he knows, he earned: two decades of real work beneath the surface, with thousands of leaders, and a proven methodology built to solve what he found. It’s why the people at the top bring him what they can’t say out loud and can’t afford to get wrong, and why he keeps a clear head, and tells the truth, when it’s easier not to.

How conviction was earned

Every ring Glenn teaches, he lived first.

The Conviction Institute’s five rings did not start as a framework. They started as a life.

Self · The Identity Catalyst

It starts with one question: who are you?

Before the other rings, there is you. Glenn has spent his life answering that question for himself and helping leaders answer it for themselves. It is why he is known as the Identity Catalyst.

Love of family

The son of Cuban immigrants who fled Castro’s revolution with nothing but conviction. At home, discipline and dignity were lived, not taught. His parents taught him to work hard, overdeliver, treat people well, and never trade away who he is.

Leading without leaving yourself at the door

His older brother, Eric, encouraged him to apply to UCLA. Within three years of graduating he was a senior director at Sunkist, and a Vice President at American Seafoods by 30. His family’s lessons became his edge: see opportunity where others see walls.

A note from Glenn

Why I'm doing this now.

I have spent 20 years watching brilliant leaders disappear. Not quit. Not fail. Disappear. Into their titles, their obligations, their performance reviews, their carefully managed reputations. They had built careers everyone admired. They just weren't sure they still lived inside them.

My work is helping leaders close that distance, so the person in the meeting, the person at the dinner table and the person they are alone are finally the same person.

I wrote six books trying to name what I was seeing. Only when I saw all six side by side did I understand they were one story: how conviction is built, how it's lost, and how it's reclaimed.

Whether you're early in your career or decades in, if you feel that quiet hollowing, you can walk this path for yourself, at your own pace and on your own terms. And if you lead others, know this: conviction doesn't scale from a memo or a mandate. It spreads one person at a time. The Institute can do this work inside your walls.

If something in these words recognized itself in you, I'd like to speak with you.

To your conviction,
Glenn Llopis
